Who we are

Moonlight Restoration, LLC provides crawlspace cleanup, encapsulation, insulation, mold remediation, drainage and dehumidification services in the Greater Charleston, South Carolina area. This policy covers moonlightrestoration.com and the enquiries we receive through it.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit a form, call, text or email, we receive what you choose to send. Depending on the form, that includes:

• Your name
• Your phone number and email address
• What you're noticing in your crawlspace, and any details you add
• For referral partners: your company name and trade
• Photographs of your property, if you send them

You don't have to fill in the optional fields. Leaving them blank won't stop us responding.

Information collected automatically

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or tracking pixels. We don't build profiles of visitors and we can't tell who has visited the site.

Two things do happen automatically, and both are ordinary web infrastructure rather than anything we control or review:

• Our host receives standard server request information, including IP addresses, as part of delivering the page to your browser
• Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers

Information from working together

If you become a customer, we keep the ordinary records of a job: your service address, what we inspected and found, the scope and price we agreed, photographs of the work, invoices, and any warranty details.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and schedule an inspection
• To prepare a written scope and price
• To perform the work and document it
• To handle warranty visits and follow up on conditions we've treated
• To keep the business records we're required to keep

We use your information for the job you contacted us about. We don't add you to a marketing list without asking, and we don't send bulk promotional email.

Photographs

Crawlspace photographs are part of how this work gets documented. We take them before, during and after a job, and we may include them in your written scope and records.

We will not publish photographs of your property, or use them in marketing or on this website, without asking you first. Photographs we do use are of the crawlspace itself, and are not labelled with your name or address.

Who else sees it

We don't sell your information, rent it, or trade it. It is shared only in these situations:

• Service providers. Our contact form is processed by Formspree, which delivers submissions to our email. Our website is hosted on Amazon Web Services. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
• Referral partners. If an inspector, agent, contractor or other partner referred you, we may confirm to them that the referral came in and whether it went ahead. We don't share the details of your inspection findings with them unless you ask us to.
• Subcontractors. If part of your job requires a licensed trade we don't perform ourselves, we share only what that contractor needs to do the work.
• Legal requirements. If we're required to disclose information by law, or need to in order to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't turn into work are kept while we might reasonably still hear back from you, then deleted. Customer job records are kept for as long as any warranty runs and as long as our tax and business record obligations require, typically several years.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner. We'll do so unless we're required to keep it, in which case we'll tell you why.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your information, subject to the records we're required to keep
• Stop contacting you

Email nate@moonlightrestoration.com and we'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge, and asking won't affect any work in progress.

South Carolina does not currently have a general consumer data privacy statute granting these rights by law. We offer them because they're reasonable, not because we're required to.

Text messages

If you text us or give us your mobile number, we may reply by text about your enquiry, scheduling, or a job in progress. We don't send marketing texts. Reply STOP at any time and we'll stop texting you.

Security

Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection, and access to our email and records is limited to the owner. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. Please don't send financial account numbers or other sensitive identifiers through the contact form.

Children

This site is intended for homeowners and businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Links to other sites

This site may link to other websites. We're not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and this policy doesn't cover them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing customers will be communicated directly.
